Doyles Room Poker - Site Review

Changes abound at DoylesRoom! Things have taken a turn for the better as DoylesRoom is no longer limited to a rather small network and instead hookin’ up with Microgaming, also known as Prima Poker. New networks and such aside, little has changed here and you will still be able to get the same great promotions. Some tournaments are now off the schedule, but replaced with new ones. As an added bonus, you get some very good casino games bundled directly into the poker software, which definitely adds some spice!

Software

In April 2006, Doyles Room made its announcement to switch to the Microgaming base, otherwise known as Prima Poker. The lobby comes with great easy to follow folders that help you find what you're looking for. The tables are easy to understand and the players are easily distinguished. Aside from player notes and such, DoylesRoom supports mini table views, allowing for more multi table games.

Traffic

Roughly 30,000 players come here to play during peak times, sometimes even more than that. The traffic is mostly in the Texas Holdem No Limit gaming. Omaha players will be able to find some competition too. The majority of the traffic is in ring games.

Tournaments

Doyles Room offers tournaments for Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. Single tournaments range from a super low $0.1 buyin to $100. Multi tables typically range from freerolls requiring action points and all the way up to $200 buy-ins.

Game Variety

Variety is not an issue to most poker players who focus mainly on Texas Hold'em and a little Omaha on the side. Fortunately, this won't be much of an issue at Doyles Room as you have the two mentioned, plus 5 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud. Only a few players sit down at such rooms, but the few who do usually play in the medium stakes. Roughly 90% of the traffic is in the Texas Hold'em rooms.

Soft Competition

You won't find the biggest fish here, however, you won't be disappointed either. The typical player at Doyles Room is below the average. Unfortunately, most of the fish is in Texas Hold'em No Limit, preferably at the lower stakes but sometimes even at $2/$4. Flops are usually viewed 40-45 % of the times, which is quite high.

Sign Up Bonus

The best Doyles Room promo code is worth a 110 % up to $550 bonus. If you deposit enough to get the maximum bonus and clear it you will also get a free copy of Doyle's world famous Super System and the sequel, Super System II.

Loyalty Rewards

Collect Action Points by playing in real money games, including single and multi table tournaments. Doyles Room offers additional opportunities for you to earn Action Points, redeemable for a variety of prizes, cash or free entry to tournaments.

Promotions

A $25 refer a friend bonus is offered. To acquire the money, your friend must accumulate 2,500 action points. Doyle also hosts an early bird "breakfast" cash game lottery. From 3am to 7am EST, you can participate in eight consequent lotteries giving you the chance to win up to $1,000. Best of all, Doyles Room offers plenty of freerolls.

Support

The support of Doyles Room is above average with e-mail, live chat and telephone support. Response times are relatively fast over live chat and telephone. However e-mail is slightly slower.
